Oliver councillor elected as third vice president by UBCM
Oliver councillor Aimee Grice has been elected as the third vice president of the Union of BC Municipalities.
n a Friday social media post, the Town of Oliver celebrated her election.
"Her leadership and dedication to the Town of Oliver and the broader BC community continue to shine," the town said.
Grice has been an active and celebrated member of municipal groups.

Oliver Healthcare Infusion launched to help connect doctors to resources
Oliver has launched "Healthcare Infusion" to help connect prospective new doctors with local resources.
"I think it's really a grassroots effort," said councillor Aimee Grice, who launched the initiative locally on Jan. 16.
"It's creating a really easy access point — for people who may want to move here to find the resources — that they need so they can figure out the immigration process, housing, childcare, and all those sorts of things."

Oliver councillor Aimee Grice announces plan to run for mayor
Oliver councillor Aimee Grice has announced she will be running for mayor in October.
"Coming in, towards the end of this term, I just felt this was the natural progression," she said.
"It's going to be important to have some sort of historical knowledge and some strong leadership at the table, especially if we get a whole brand new slate of people coming in."

Oliver officials tour unhoused encampment amid high calls for service
Oliver council and regional officials recently toured the town’s unhoused encampment along the riverside, getting a closer look at conditions on the ground.
On May 11, council was joined by Okanagan-Similkameen MLA Donegal Wilson, Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen head administrator Jim Zaffino, and Okanagan Falls area director Matt Taylor on the tour.
